Raul Ramos is an Oregon based illustrator and concept artist currently working in the film and video games industry.

Raul grew up in the small town of Monte Vista, Colorado where he discovered his love for drawing dinosaurs after being captivated by Godzilla and Ray Harryhausen films.

He attended Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver, Colorado majoring in Illustration. His time there was spent studying a variety of visual media including both traditional and digital methods for drawing, painting and sculpture. Raul graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and immediately began working at a nearby video game studio.

Raul’s strong interests in biology, paleontology, and comparative anatomy continued to fuel his creativity and brought him to focus on paleontological reconstruction. He has great appreciation for paleoart, wildlife illustration and creature design. He endeavors to learn as much as he can from nature in an effort to accurately represent life from the real world and infuse his own fictitious creatures with a greater sense of believability.

As Creative Director for Facts Dinosaurs Raul has strived to create a unique and cohesive vision for the models he creates and supervises. He aims to combine scientific accuracy with high quality visual details and design to create eye-catching educational content for dinosaur enthusiasts everywhere.
